My Story
Understanding learning challenges from the inside out
I know what it feels like to struggle with learning. As a child, I faced my own challenges with vision processing difficulties and a unique learning profile that made school frustrating and confusing.​​
Back then, there was a lack of knowledge of how physical immaturity in the brain and body created a discrepancy between capability and achievement. The frustration of wanting to succeed but not knowing why things were so difficult stayed with me for years.

Despite vision therapy as a child, the challenges lingered. It wasn't until I was an adult that I discovered the connection between neurodevelopmental movements and remediation of learning challenges. It transformed how I viewed myself and children with learning challenges. For the first time I understood that improved connections between the various parts of the brain could be built. It was possible to awaken the natural intelligence of the body through movement. There were tools available to decrease the discrepancy between achievement and ability.

This personal experience, combined with my professional training, gives me a unique understanding of what children go through and how families feel when seeking help.
Today, with over 25 years of experience and multiple specialized certifications, I'm passionate about helping children ages 3-12 build the neurological foundations they need for learning success. I'm positive and encouraging in my approach, and willing to collaborate with other professionals.
