Formal training, coaching by other professionals, and experience enable me to observe and provide insight into the learning needs of a student and recommend next steps. Depending on the data gathered in the process, it is reasonable to expect that next steps may include pursuing further assessment by one or more qualified professionals including, but not limited to, a developmental optometrist, registered psychologist, a speech pathologist, and/or a medical doctor (e.g., audiologist, ophthalmologist, pediatrician).
